Summer in Ligonier returned to the Diamond in style for 2019. We are pleased to share some highlights from the weekend.
Our first ever Lego contest was amazing, with more than 15 entries spanning from preschoolers to adults. We want to recognize some of our Lego contest participates: Kate Welty, Daniel Hart, John Teacher and Sherri Rea, Zander Johanson, Oliver Jinks, Henry Jinks, Melissa Jink, Brian Jinks, Ligonier Country Market, Rhiannon and Connor Busanic, Julien Goyal, Merick Johnson, Noah Fisher, Linden and Trilian White, and Kayden Mcelheny. Congratulations to our best in show winners, The Jinks family, for their sculpture “Ligonier Camp and Conference Center.”
Thank you all for your submissions. Also, thank you to Abigail’s Coffeehouse for sponsoring the prizes.
Tragedy struck when Daisymae and Lavender Lilly lost their gardening tools. Kids and adults alike went on an adventure through town and into merchant shops to help Daisy and Lavender Lilly find their tools. They were so grateful for the help that they raffled off some Country Market gift certificates. Congratulations to Janel Mechling and Somer Brown. We hope to see you at the market soon. Thank you to Commercial Bank for sponsoring prizes for all of our scavenger hunt participants.
Thanks to sponsor Donna Tidwell, we enjoyed live music from Wayne Shafer and The Evergreens. We featured over 18 beautiful arts and craft vendors. Special features included The Compass Inn, Fort Ligonier, Jill Smyth Henna, Ligonier Valley Learning Center, Main Exhibit Gallery, and Heart & Soul Parrot Rescue, sponsored by Blue Sky Signs and Commercial Bank.
The Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce wants to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed the weekend. We hope to see you all again next year.
