Ligonier Valley Historical Society would like to announce that Junior Stagecoach Adventurers, for children grades 1-3, has been rescheduled from the week of June 24th, to the week of August 5th, to now correspond with Stagecoach Adventurers (Grades 4-6). This change will allow families with children in both age groups the opportunity to send all children in one week, rather than splitting them up over the course of the summer. This change also gives older participants the opportunity to help mentor younger attendees in specific activities throughout the week.

This action-packed, weeklong event allows you to see life through the eyes of children living at an 1800s stagecoach stop. Over the course of camp, you will learn how to cook a traditional, authentic early 19th century meal in Compass Inn Museum’s Cookhouse. Participants will be taught about the origins of modern science, beginning in the 1800s, through hands-on and stimulating activities and experiments. At week’s end, you and other campers will act out a skit you have worked on throughout your time at Compass Inn Museum, demonstrating the exciting and perilous duties of a stagecoach driver and their passengers. Do not miss out on this unique and exciting opportunity to positively impact the young ones closest to you!

The weeklong camp fees are $110 for Ligonier Valley Historical Society Members or $125 for non-members, per child. There is a $10 sibling discount for each sibling entered into the program.
