The 5th Annual Lincoln Highway SupperMarket season kicks off Wednesday, June 5, 2019, 5 to 8 pm on the grounds of the Lincoln Highway Experience, 3435 State Route 30 East (just before Kingston Dam), Latrobe. Even though Mother Nature dropped a record-setting 57 ½ inches of rain in 2018, the 2019 Farmer’s Almanac predicts “rainfall will be below normal”.Supermarket is where guests (no reservations needed) enjoy freshly prepared a la carte items offered by 7 chefs in one location every Wednesday in June, July and August. It’s where old and new friends share a picnic table to enjoy an eclectic selection of food and listen to live toe-tappin’ music. The 2019 Chefs are Sun Dawg Café, Chef Dato’s Table, Connections Café, Aroma Italiano, Out of the Fire, and Catering Creations. Splitting the season will be Irma’s German Goodies in the first half, and bringing up the rear is Grateful Smoke BBQ.
Live music always adds that special vibe to any event, and SupperMarket is fortunate to have secured some of the best musicians in our region: Tim Bush, Detention, Three Good Reasons, Gashouse Annie4, heavenly Biscuits, Wayne Shaffer, Rich Kingera, DejaVu, Adams Seifert, and Tim Roberts/Stacey Meyers. SupperMarket is sponsored by the nonprofit Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor. Parking fee per carload is $3. Because this event is a supper event with 7 amazing chefs offering a wide variety of a la carte items, NO outside food is permitted.
