It’s Fall y’all! My absolute favorite time of the year! Love the cooler weather, warm cider, big comfy sweaters and boots, the light is always gorgeous especially hitting the changing leaves. PLUS it’s time for Halloween with Thanksgiving right behind it! During this time of the year there is still so much to do and see together with your kids. So I made a list, big surprise right? I do love a good list. Any who, this fall I included a few activities/ festivals that do have a cost, but a very low cost for what you’re getting! I hope you enjoy this fall and all the wonderful events it has to offer. I hope you find something on this list you did not know about before. I highlighted some of my favorites and new things we are pumped for in orange. ENJOY!

Written by Sara Hillen, mom of three human children: Michael 10, Ian 7 and Hailey 3, and two wannabe human children: a giant dog, Finnegan and a very fat cat called Duncan. I have been a resident of Laughlintown for the past five years and previously spent summers and falls visiting the Ligonier Valley from Pittsburgh. I can proudly say I have never missed a Fort Day  Weekend in my life, and really enjoy the beautiful wilderness of the Laurel Highlands, as well as the wonderful sense of community so many Ligonier residents strive to share with each other. I spend my time volunteering with Scouts BSA of America, in Cub Scout Pack 370 and with RK Mellon PTA as the Scholastic Bookfair Chair Woman.
