Enjoy Hors D’Oeuvres from The Road Toad with our artists, Lawrice “Recie” Dolan and Ginette Simpson.
Lawrice “Recie” Dolan creates “art stories” in bold colors by collaging and layering materials, textures, images, and symbols…often working intuitively “from chaos to order.”
Lawrice began her experience in the art realm as a child, embracing it as a non-verbal form of expression. Her life and art have evolved from her earliest black and white drawings to the complex layers of color, media, and mindful expression she creates today.
Lawrice plans to donate the proceeds from her art sales to Fisher House Foundation. https://georgecontedesign.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u=7048520c0c52c4fe1353d0130&id=edebb8df86&e=0f4f3584f8
Ginette Simpson has been practicing the tradition of designing and creating Pysanky eggs as a means to keep the traditon alive, as well as, to help sustain the life of her home Ukrainian church, the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church in Salem Township, PA.
Ginette will demonstrate her skills throughout the day at
Conte Design Lifestyle Gallery
Ginette designs and hand paints each egg. Although she primarily follows the traditional methods for creating pysanky, she also experiments with innovative means for creating brighter colors and updated designs. She takes inspiration from nature, incorporating flowers, birds, and butterflies into her art.
Proceeds from the Pysanky Egg sales will be donated to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church.
