SOUP'S ON IN LIGONIER MARCH 27, 2010
Come to Ligonier on Saturday, March 27, and warm up with some soup during “Soup’s On.” This is a new event sponsored by the Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce. Here is how it works: Event goers purchase a wristband and are given a map of participating businesses. These businesses will have “signature soups” from local restaurants in their stores. Your map will identify the location of each participating store and the stores will have red balloons to help you find your way around town. The map will include a section to vote for your favorite soup. The soup receiving the most votes will win “Best Soup in the Ligonier Valley Award.” We encourage you to stop by and have lunch or dinner in the eatery you think has the best soup. Information, menus, coupons or discounts will be available with each sample. While you sample the soups be sure to take time to shop in the participating stores. 2010 LIGONIER PHOTO CALENDAR ON SALE NOW
Announcing the arrival of the Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce 2010 Calendar. Every year the Ligonier Valley Calendar is a popular gift idea. Each month has a beautiful photograph representing the Ligonier Valley. This year the front cover is a beautiful photograph of Ligonier's Town Hall taken through the pink and white dogwood trees submitted by Sam Banales. Area photographers submitted their photographs in a contest with the best earning inclusion and photo credits in the calendar. Click here to see all pictures.

Many residents depend on the Ligonier Calendar for the dates of important local events, which are printed on each month's page. The Ligonier Calendars are now on sale now and may be purchased at the Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce office located in the Town Hall, Ligonier Sweet Shop/Pathfinder Photo located on the Diamond or online.

2009 LIMITED EDITION CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT STILL ON SALE
The Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce will begin offering our Limited Edition Treasured Scenes tree ornaments on March 25, 2009. This year's 2009 Christmas in the Ligonier Valley ornament is special as it commemorates Laurel Valley Golf Club's 50th Anniversary (1959-2009). The ornament is two sided, featuring the Club on one side, and their logo on the other.

A different landmark is featured each year. We are pleased to showcase the Laurel Valley Golf Club, for they have been a wonderful asset to the Ligonier Valley. The club continues to host golf's most prestigious events such as the U. S. Open, the Senior PGA, and the Ryder Cup which bring thousands of people to the Valley and helps boost the local economy. These tournaments are televised world-wide helping to put Ligonier Valley on the map as a wonderful destination spot.

The ornament is number 26 in the "Treasured Scenes" series. The tree ornaments, which are individually gift boxed, are available in the Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce office in Town Hall, or online. Because the holiday ornaments are a "Limited Edition" item, it is recommended that residents purchase them early while supplies last. There are only 500 ornaments available for sale. Last year's ornament sold out!
