area. Since many of these events happen at the same time each year,
we will leave them posted throughout the year. We will continue to add
more events and update this information regularly. If you need more
specific information about any of the events presented here, please
contact us. You can find additional events by visiting the web sites listed on the "Events" tab of the menu bar.
- Ligonier Ice Fest - Jan. 23rd - 24th, 2010 - On the Diamond. Ice artists create masterpieces
from blocks of ice located on and within 1 block of the Diamond area. Carving starts at 10am on Saturday, Noon on Sunday

- 18th Annual Tastes of the Town - Date and time to be announced - Hosted by the Ligonier Valley Historical Society,
features a wide variety of sumptuous treats provided by area

Ligonier - opens for the season April 15th, 2010. Commemorating the 250th Anniversary of “The Year of the Conquest – New France Falls to Britain”

Inn (shown at right) opens May 1st, 2010. Compass Inn
is a restored stagecoach stop from 1799 furnished with period
pieces. It is located 3 miles east of Ligonier in Laughlintown
on Route 30 and is a project of the Ligonier Valley Historical
Society.

Players - Spring Production
- Relay For Life - will be held on May 7th and 8th at Weller Field. Festivities begin at 5 PM Friday and will continue through noon on Saturday
- Country Market - opens Saturday, May 22nd, 2010 and every Saturday through October 2nd, held across from the Grove at Millcreek restaurant. Open
from 8 am to noon. The final day will feature all normal

- Community Day in Ligonier Valley - On Sunday, June 13, Antiochian Village, Compass Inn Museum, Darlington Station, Fort Ligonier, Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art and the Ligonier Theater will participate in the 3rd Annual Ligonier "Community Day." "Community Day" is their gift to Ligonier Valley residents for their support throughout the year. Residents, within the boundaries of the Ligonier Valley School District, are entitled to free admission to their sites. What a wonderful way to see what is located in your own backyard. Don't forget your ID.
